Mohan Varghese Chungath, Principal Secretary/Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Maritime Board reviewed major development and welfare schemes in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts in the presence of Collector V. Arun Roy here on Tuesday.
Mr. Chungath held a review meeting with the officials of the department heads such as Social Welfare, DRDA, PMEGP, water supply and drainage works in rural areas through Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Health and Medical facilities, Horticulture, Agriculture, Public Works Department, Highways, Backward Classes Welfare, Adi Dravidar Welfare, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu, THADCO, Forest etc.
Officials explained the status of the implementation of the development works.
He also asked about the implementation of the pet welfare schemes of the State Government such as noon meal, distribution of colour televisions, ‘Kannoli Kappom Thittam,' weekly five egg scheme, sale of cheap condiments through TNCSC, operations of the women SHGs, services of the 108 free ambulances, ‘Kalaignar Veetu Vasathi Thittam' and ‘Kalaignar Kaapeetu Thittam.'
P. Prabhakaran, District Revenue Officer, G. Luxmi Priya, Additional Collector (Development), Prashant M. Wadnere, Sub Collector, Hosur, A. Noor Mohamed, Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri and other heads of departments participated in the review meeting at the Krishnagiri collectorate.
In Dharmpauri, the review meeting was held in the presence of the Collector, R. Ananthakumar. District Revenue Officer Maheshwari Ravikumar and other heads of departments participated in the meeting.
