The collegium of Judges headed by Chief Justice of India S.H. Kapadia has recommended Justice D. Murugesan, Judge of the Madras High Court, for the post of Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
Law Ministry sources told The Hindu that the recommendation had been received from the Supreme Court and it would take three to four weeks for completing the process of appointment.
The other recommendations received are: Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court Arjan Kumar Sikri is being made the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, Judge of the Bombay High Court, is being elevated as the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
