BJP leader C.P. Radhakrishnan is the man the senior non-Tamil party leaders turn to for translating their speech. On Saturday last, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu engaged him for the Raja Street public meeting in Coimbatore. Mr. Radhakrishnan had a tough time given Mr. Naidu’s speed and panache for alliteration. At one stage, it turned out to be a word for word translation. When Mr. Naidu switched to Telugu, Mr. Radhakrishnan expressed helplessness saying he did not know the language. On Monday last, though, Mr. Radhakrishnan was relatively better off with Union Minister J.P. Nadda as the speaker.
