Lost gold ornaments restored

Gold ornaments, weighing around 13 sovereigns, lost by a jeweller Senthilnathan, were restored to him after a resident who found them handed them over to the police.

The jeweller lost the pouch with the ornaments at Meenakshipuram on Saturday night while he was going to hand them over to a customer.

The jewel pouch lying on the road was found by a saw mill owner Ganesh of Kariamanikkapuram area in Nagercoil. Mr. Ganesh handed over the ornaments at the Kottar police station. When he visited the station, the jeweller was waiting with a complaint at the police station.

After getting proper identification of the ornaments in the pouch, they were handed over to Mr. Senthilnathan, police sources said.
