Railway Police Force recovered two bags containing surgical kits from Pearl City Express as it reached here from Chennai on Sunday, and handed them over to the owner after an enquiry.

Sources in Railway Police Force said Ganapathi (53), a surgical equipment supplier from Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai, came to Thoothukudi by Pearl City Express Train on Sunday morning. He had brought some surgical equipment along with him to be handed over to his customers here.

On reaching Thoothukudi, Mr. Ganapathi got down from the train with his baggage while leaving two bags containing demo surgical kits in the train itself. When the RPF personnel inspected the coaches at Thoothukudi East railway station, they recovered the bags.

As he realised that he had left the bags in the train only after some time, Mr. Ganapathi came back to the railway station and met RPF Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar.

When he provided the exact details of the surgical kits, the bags were handed over to Mr. Ganapathi.
