A 28-year-old lorry driver who entered into altercation with former Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police K. Ramanujam over rash driving issue was arrested by the city police here.
After his service, Mr. Ramanujam was living at his residence at Suramangalam in the city.
On Monday, he was on his way to Shevapet in his car. While moving on Chattiram Bridge, the driver of an over-speeding lorry attempted to hit his car.
Mr. Ramanujam stopped his vehicle and questioned the driver’s act.
The driver Pandian (28) of Yethapur entered into altercation with the
former DIG who later informed the police. Based on a complaint, the Shevapet police registered a case and arrested the driver. Later, he was released on bail.
