More than a week after the Edappadi K. Palaniswami government won the vote of confidence, many Ministers and MLAs who are in the ruling AIADMK (Sasikala) camp are facing hostile reception in their respective constituencies.

Sections of people, who are opposed to the jailed AIADMK leader, Sasikala, have been voicing their dissent against the stand of the MLAs, who have extended support to her camp.

On Sunday, posters condemning the support of Forest Minister Dindigul C. Srinivasan, who is number two in the Cabinet, sprung up in many parts of the Dindigul constituency, which he represents in the Assembly.

“We cast our votes for Jayalalithaa who promised to give good governance and not for you. You have chosen to support a wrong person and extended supported to a ‘mafia’ gang. We strongly condemn your action and wish to register our anguish,” read one of the posters.

Ahead of the Minister’s first visit to his constituency after joining the Palaniswami government, his loyalists were seen tearing the posters on Sunday morning.
