The situation on the law and order front in Tamil Nadu is very bad, said AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa here on Thursday. She was speaking to reporters at Charing Cross on her way to Gudalur.

To a question, Ms. Jayalalithaa said she would go ahead with the public meeting in Madurai. “I continue to receive threats but I am not scared and I will not allow them to deter me from addressing the meeting.” Asked about the alliance for the forthcoming elections, Ms. Jayalalithaa said that it would become clear in course of time. She attended the wedding reception of former Tourism Minister A. Miller's son in Gudalur before returning to Kodanad.
