A pro-Tamil outfit leader was arrested in Salem on Saturday in connection with throwing of a burning wooden log inside Income Tax office premises here on October 30, protesting External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid confirming his participation at CHOGM in Sri Lanka next month.

Kolathur Mani, founder leader of Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK), was arrested in Salem on Saturday under Section 120 B, 285, 3(1)of the Public Property Damage preventive act, police said.

DVK activists had also thrown pamphlets, asking the Centre to respect the feelings of Tamils and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Mr. Khurshid not to attend CHOGM.
