Karunanidhi to open Salem super speciality hospital

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will attend a series of programmes here on Friday, including the inauguration of a super speciality hospital, integrated Collectorate Complex, government nursing college and hostel and other projects to the tune of Rs.321 crore.

He will declare open the new office building of the City Police Commissionerate, school buildings and lay the foundation stone for a comprehensive water supply scheme for Attur and Narasingapuram municipalities, 13 town panchayats, 7 panchayat unions and 921 way-side habitations. The Chief Minister will also disburse welfare assistance.

Mr. Karunanidhi will arrive here by an early morning train. He will address a public meeting before leaving for Chennai by a late night train. He will preside over the wedding of A. Prabhu, son of Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam, on the premises of the VSA group of educational institutions at Uthamacholapuram in the morning.
