“Karunanidhi is terribly upset after reading the report in The Hindu”
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief, M. Karunanidhi, expressed shock on seeing the pictures of LTTE leader Prabakaran’s son Balachandran in military custody before being shot dead, according to M. K. Stalin, party treasurer.
“Mr. Karunanidhi is terribly upset after reading the report in The Hindu. It shows serious concern he has for the suffering Tamils,” he said while addressing a protest demonstration organised by the Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (TESO) at Avuri maidan near bus stand here on Tuesday.
Other speakers, including K. Veeramani, leader of the Dravidar Kazhagam, Thol Thirumavalan, leader of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, said the pictures were ample proof of the atrocities committed on the innocent Tamils by the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime in the island nation. This is just a tip of the icebergs. Many more skeletons are in the cupboard of Rajapaksa and they should be brought to the notice of the world, they said.

Why? He was the CM then; his ally Congress was ruling at the Centre; all the catatrophe could have been averted had it been handled sincerely. Had MGR been the CM he could have done this. He had the sincerity & passion towards Srilankan tamils.

All those who see the photographs on the last few minutes of late Prabahakaran's Son Late.Minor Balachandran published by the "The Hindu" would definitely be shocked and Mr.Karunanidhi is no exception.
But what is going to be his and DMK response after this, is the question asked by general Tamilians. Mere dropping tears is not required anymore. Candid action is required. Let Mr.M.K. and his DMK give a threat to Central Govt. that if India did not vote against SriLanka in the UN Human Right Commission Meeting , they would withdrawn support and DMK Ministers would tender resignations.A small nation Sri Lanka is threatening us . Can DMK not threaten Central Govt.?Let them consider this option. Will DMK do this is the question asked by the Public. Mere soothing words are not required anymore because there is nobody to hear these words

in Srilanka will get justice for sure if politicians from Tamil Nadu

..Karunaaa could have saved several thousands of innocent lankan
Tamils if he had pressured [ justifiably ] the center [ whose congress
Governmment was depending heavily on Karunaa on its survival] but
failed to do so for reasons best known to him. Even an impartial
observers point out that rajapakse was encouraged by silent majority
of the ruling partly of then Government in TN and in Center . Now
Stalin says that Karunaa is SHOCKED. Probably this leader might have
thought that these war crimes would never come to light.You punish
LTTE but why innocent Lankan tamils .
Yes we believe him and his shock. Tell him his political drama will be over soon.
What is there to get shocked! His concern for the tamils in sri lanka was seen by the entire world when he underwent on hunger strike during break fast and lunch. Also, during the Parliamentary elections in 2009, on the day. Prabhakaran was reported killed, he elevated stalin to Dy.CM post. Once again karunanidhi has shown his colour and without shy or shame stalin also goes and tells in public.
I think THE WHOLE WORLD is shocked not just Karunanidhi.

platform I respect. Disgraceful!!.
Mr Karunanithi and Stalin, you both will be pleased to know that the congress
government and the Foreign Minister you support do not believe that the Channel4
pictures are real (read his report here). They support Sri Lanka's denial. So, do you
have an answer to Mr Kurshid and PM Manmohan Singh? Will you continue
nevertheless the support you give Congress and so they keep supporting to
rajapakse's regime.
