After announcing that he would meet people from February 21, actor Kamal Haasan interacted with his fans from southern districts, where we will be touring first, on Monday.
He met office-bearers of the Kamal Haasan Welfare Clubs from Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Chennai and Dindigul at his Eldams road office. He took photographs with fans and will continue the exercise on Tuesday as well.
According to those who attended the meeting, the actor discussed the “ground reality” in the State and about people’s expectations.
‘About logistics’
“He was mainly asking us about the expectations of the people and if it is the right time to enter politics. Besides, his interaction was about logistics of his proposed State-wide tour,” said an office-bearer.
The actor had earlier announced that he would begin his political journey on February 21 from the residence of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Ramanathapuram district. From there, he is expected to visit Madurai, Dindigul and Sivaganga districts. In a statement, he had said that he would announce the name of his political party and the principles to be followed at the beginning of his tour. The first public meeting could likely be in Madurai.
