Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court order in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

Asked about the argument of the United Progressive Alliance government that the former telecom Minister, A. Raja, was to be blamed and not Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, she said that irrespective of whatever the Central government might say, it was for the court to pronounce the final verdict.

On the Supreme Court referring to the special court the petition on the alleged role of Mr. Chidambaram in the scam, Ms. Jayalalithaa said she would prefer to wait and see what happened in court.
