AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa will hit the party’s campaign trail for the March 27 Pennagaram assembly bypoll next week.

According to her campaign schedule released by the party on Monday, Jayalalithaa will go on a two-day ‘whirlwind’ tour of the constituency to campaign for her party candidate R. Anbazhagan, starting March 22.

She is scheduled to address nearly 20 meetings at different places in the constituency which will witness a four-cornered battle with DMK, PMK and actor-politician Vijayakant’s DMDK in the fray.

Bypoll for the Assembly seat was necessitated following the death of DMK MLA P.N. Periannan.
