AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa on Thursday praised the Election Commission for conducting the elections peacefully.

Talking to reporters after garlanding a statue of Ambedkar at Kodambakkam, she said that due to the efforts of the Election Commission, violence-free polling was witnessed in the State.

The Commission had done a wonderful job in creating a peaceful atmosphere, conducive to high polling, which was the result of silent anger against the DMK.
