Jayalalithaa asks partymen to brace for polls

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa on Sunday called upon her partymen to prepare themselves for the Assembly elections, saying “tomorrow Tamil Nadu will be in our hands.”

Presiding over a marriage function in the city, Ms Jayalalithaa said the time had come for the partymen to prove their worth. “You have the capacity to challenge the money power and government machinery of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi,” she said. Alleging that the Chief Minister had constructed the new secretariat in a hurried manner, Ms Jayalalithaa said the building was without any aesthetic sense.
