For the family of P. Lesima Jerose Monisha (25) of Caldwell Colony, it was joy and relief as she called to say that she and the other nurses were on their way to the airport in the militants’ vehicle to take the flight to India.

“When the militants forcibly shifted the nurses to some other place after switching off their mobile phones, we were very much worried about their safety. We’re much relieved now and waiting for Monisha’s arrival,” said her mother P. Edvijammal, profusely thanking the State and Central governments for their efforts for ensuring the safe release of the nurses.
