The AIADMK on Friday said it was surprised by the projected ‘landslide victory’ for it in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

AIADMK Organising Secretary S. Semmalai told Doordarshan that the results were ‘beyond our expectations’.

“It is a positive vote for us and a negative vote for the DMK Government,” he said as the AIADMK appeared set for a clean sweep leading in over 170 seats in the 234-member assembly.
