ITI admission

The distribution of applications for admissions to courses offered by the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Chinna Tirupathi in the city for the academic year 2015-16 has begun.

Cost of application form is Rs. 50. Applications will be available till June 10.

The last day to submit applications is June 10, said S. Mani, principal of the ITI.

The ITI offered two-year electrician, fitter, machinist, grinder, mechanic (motor vehicle), turner courses, for which the basic qualification is a pass in Standard X. For the two-year wireman course, the basic qualification is a pass Standard VIII.

The institution offers one-year courses in computer operation, plaster processing, welding (fabrication fitter), welding (structural) too. The basic qualification is a pass in Standard X. For the one-year welder course, the basic qualification is a pass in Standard VIII.

A total fee of Rs. 195 will be collected at the time of admission. Of this Rs. 100 will be returned to the students after admission.

The selected students will be given a monthly scholarship of Rs. 500, free laptop, bicycle, footwear, uniform, and bus pass.

Mr. Mani said admission will be based on merit, and reservation policy.
