It will be a harbinger to LS polls, says CM

December 03, 2013 12:57 am | Updated 12:57 am IST - CHENNAI:

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said the Yercaud Assembly by-election outcome will be the “harbinger of revolutionary changes” the AIADMK intended to usher in after the Lok Sabha polls next year.

In a statement here, she said “the holy duty” of removing the Congress-DMK combination that had plunged the country into a crisis through its wrong economic policies, rested with the people. The Chief Minister appealed to the voters of Yercaud constituency to weigh the achievements of the AIADMK government, and the sufferings they were subjected to undergo during the DMK regime, and vote in favour of the ruling party.

“You should ensure that all opposition candidates, including the DMK candidate, lose their deposits. The victory of the AIADMK should be a harbinger of the landslide victory for the AIADMK in the LS polls and the revolutionary changes” it intends to usher in the country,” she said.
