A four-page letter, purported to be a suicide note of E. Ilavarsan, was seized, said Superintendent of Police Asra Garg here on Sunday. Addressing reporters Mr. Garg said that based on an intelligence input, the police had recovered the four-page ‘suicide note’ from a relative of the deceased who had circulated it among other relatives.

Ilavarasan had addressed the letter, written in Tamil, to Divya and his family members stating that no one else was responsible for his death and the decision was his own.

The letter would be sent for forensic examination, Mr. Garg added.
