Home Secretary shifted

The State government on Tuesday transferred Home Secretary R. Rajagopal and appointed Niranjan Mardi in his place, as part of a reshuffle among department secretaries.

An official release said Dr. Mardi, until now Principal Secretary, Highways and Minor Ports Department, will be the new Principal Secretary for Home, Prohibition and Excise Department.

Mr. Rajagopal will move to the Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation as its Chairman and Managing Director in place of Girija Vaidyanathan.

Rajeev Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, was transferred and posted in the Highways and Minor Ports Department in Dr. Mardi’s place.

Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, has been transferred to the Revenue Department in the place of Rajeev Ranjan. S. Vijayakumar, Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, will be the Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Secretary.

Ms. Vaidyanathan was transferred and posted as Commissioner of Land Administration in the place of T.S. Sridhar, who was holding additional charge.
