The hi-tech publicity van operated by the State government recently arrived at Tuticorin to broadcast short films explaining the series of welfare schemes introduced by the government for the people.
Tourism Minister S.P. Shunmuganathan, along with Rajya Sabha MP L. Sasikala Pushpa, Tuticorin MP J. Jeyasingh Thiyagaraj Natterjee, MLA S.T. Chellapandian and S. Murugaiah, District Revenue Officer went around the van and took a closer look at the LED screen. With the objective of screening short films on several welfare measures and achievements of the government to the public, 32 hi-tech publicity vans, fitted with 15.75-foot width and 6.25-foot high LED screen, were bought at a cost of Rs. 20.80 crore.
These vans would be used to screen the publicity films at places of public congregation, according to a statement. Tamilselvarajan, Public Relations Officer and others were also present.
