Friday was the last working day for justices S. Nagamuthu, S. Palanivelu, T. Mathivanan, and P. Devadass as the summer vacation for the court commences from May 1.
Pointing out that this was the first time a farewell function has been arranged for four judges’ together, Advocate-General R. Muthukumaraswamy, in his farewell address, said: “Surprisingly all the four judges were born and enrolled as advocates in the same month (May). Justices Nagamuthu, Mathivanan and Devadass were classmates, while Justice Palanivelu was their batch mate in Madurai Law College.”
