G. Sampath Moopanar, younger brother of former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president G.K. Moopanar and uncle of Union Minister for Shipping G.K. Vasan, died here on Tuesday.
He was 68 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Sampath Moopanar, an advocate, was to attend the 10th anniversary observance of G.K. Moopanar here on Tuesday.
He suffered a massive cardiac arrest at 9 a.m. and was pronounced dead at a Porur hospital.
