A four-year-old girl went missing from her house on Sunday night.

Police said Ganesan (32) of Sundanparappu near Kanniyakumari was sleeping in his hut along with his wife Maria and two children on Sunday night.

When he got up in the morning, his younger daughter Mahalakshmi (4) had gone missing.

Though Mr. Ganesan and his relatives searched for the girl, they could not locate her.

Based on the complaint from Mr. Ganesan, the Kanniyakumari police registered a case on Monday.

As the police could not locate the missing girl, Mr. Ganesan along with his relatives came to the Kanniyakumari police station on Tuesday to press his demand.

After the police assured them that the girl would be rescued at the earliest, they left the police station.
