Generation resumes in TTPS unit-I in Tamil Nadu

After 20 days of maintenance work, generation in the first unit of the Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TTPS) resumed on Tuesday, sources said.

A team of experts carried out repairs to the boiler and the turbine generator. The head office of the station in Chennai set a 25-day deadline for the task to be completed, but the team worked round the clock, winding up the work in 20 days.
