Free mixies, grinders and fans will be distributed to 91,208 beneficiaries in the fourth phase, according to Collector N. Venkatachalam.
Distributing freebies worth Rs. 3.01 crore to 7,496 beneficiaries at function at Poodhipuram and Melasokkanathapuram here on Saturday evening, he said 95 per cent of beneficiaries in rural areas had been covered. Now, revenue officials had started covering town panchayats. After completion of distribution in town panchayats, the freebies would be given to the people in municipal areas.
Freebies were given to 46,061 persons in 2011-12, 69,390 persons in 2012-13 and 71,955 persons in 2013-14, he added.
