Laptops given to Revenue Inspectors

Laptops were given away to 50 Revenue Inspectors at a function held at the Collectorate here on Sunday.

Handing over the laptops, Housing and Urban Development Minister R. Vaithialingam said government departments were being computerised in a phased manner.

The laptops were being distributed to Revenue Inspectors to enable them work effectively and speedily.

The Minister asked the Revenue Inspectors to make use of the laptops in giving certificates to the poorer sections and more so to students speedily.

Collector N. Subbaiyan, MLAs, government officials and local body representatives were present on the occasion, an official press release here said.
