Forms for professional courses to be available from today

Forms for MBBS/BDS will be available till June 1

Application forms for admission to MBBS, BDS, BE, B. Tech courses for the academic year 2011-12 will be available from Monday.

The forms for MBBS / BDS courses will be issued on all days, including Sundays from May 16 to June 2. Till June 1, application form can be obtained by paying Rs 500 between 10 am to 5 pm at the Madras Medical College.

The students should give a requisition addressed to the Dean / Principal of Medical / Dental College by enclosing a crossed demand draft from any nationalised bank dated not earlier than May 14 payable at Chennai in favour of `The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10'. Applications will be issued free of cost for SC / SCA / ST candidates provided they enclosed photo copies of community certificate.

Meanwhile, Anna University has invited applications for the unified single window admission for first year BE / B.Tech degree courses to its departments, colleges of Anna Universities of Technology, government, aided engineering colleges and for the seats surrendered by the self-financing engineering colleges.

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from over 60 centres across the state by paying Rs 500 (Rs 250 in case of SC/SCA/ST candidates) towards application fee, by cash / demand draft. The forms will be on sale till May 31 beginning tomorrow. The last date for submission of filled in applications is June 3.

Candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2011. The procedure for registration is available in the website.

The filled-in application along with attested photocopies of mark sheets and attested photocopies of all other relevant certificates has to be sent to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025.
