Former DMK MLA Kittu dead

Former DMK MLA and the party's former South Chennai secretary, K. Kittu, died on Thursday. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.

He was elected from the Saidapet constituency in the 1980, 1989 and 1996 Assembly elections.

DMK president M. Karunanidhi and treasurer of the party M.K. Stalin paid homage to Kittu at his residence.

Mr. Karunanidhi said that the party had lost an outstanding cadre known for his field work.
