Former Vedasandur MLA P. Andivel (AIADMK) was found dead in his farm house at Thanneerpandhampatti, near Eriyode in Vedasandur block, under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday.
Acting on information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the Vedasandur Government Hospital for post mortem.
After preliminary investigation, the police stated that there were no external injuries on the body except a small cut in the chin. Further inquiry was on. His family members were residing at his house at Pudhu Road near Eriyode. He was an MLA for Vedasandur constituency between 2001 and 2006.
