Five members of a family were killed when a car they were travelling in collided with a container truck coming in the wrong direction at Kandaneri near Pallikonda on Tuesday night.
The family was going from Vaniyambadi to Rayachoti in Andhra Pradesh. The dead were identified as Asif Ahmed (45), his wife Shakira Sultana (35), daughter Ippa Konain, son Mohammed Asif and relative Nazeem Ahmed.
The truck driver is absconding.
