Fitter found dead at TTPS

K. Sathaiya of Threspuram, Fitter (Second Grade) of Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TTPS), was found dead under the conveyor belt inside the station on Thursday.

He had suffered head injuries. However, the exact reason for his death is yet to be ascertained. Reliable sources at the TTPS said that he was not given any assignment. . The body was sent to Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.

Based on a complaint lodged by R. Shanmuga Velayutham, Junior Engineer (Mechanic), TTPS, Thermal Nagar police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
