The Animal Husbandry Department will organise a workshop and an exhibition of Alambadi breed cattle at Govindapadi village in Kolathur Panchayat Union here today.

The indigenous breeds would be on display between 8am and 2 pm.

The workshop would discuss measures to preserve the breeds.

Cash prizes

Prizes ranging from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 20,000 would be given for the best breeds.

Minister for Animal Husbandry T.K.M. Chinnayya, and Minister for Highways and Minor Ports Edappadi K. Palaniswami would inaugurate the exhibition.

Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services T. Abraham; District Collector K. Maharabushanam; R. Anbumani Ramadoss, MP; S.R. Parthiban, MLA; would attend.the exhibition.
