Chants of ‘Aaruush’ filled the atmosphere at SRM University’s campus in Kattankulathur over the last four days.

The four-day National-level Techno Management Fest Aaruush concluded with SRM University cornering a prize in an exclusive event ‘Canoe Innovation Challenge’ introduced this year and budding engineers from Prathyusha Engineering College securing the second prize.

While presiding over the valedictory session on Tuesday, former managing director – technology (client delivery), Accenture, Rammohan Thyagarajan asked the students not to stop the learning habit at any point of time.

Competence, communication and compassion were the key factors one had to adhere to and acquire during their journey of life to scale greater heights, Mr. Thyagaran said.

Aaruush ’17 kicked off on Saturday, with tremendous excitement, buzz and frenzy, living up to its theme ‘Towards Infinity’.

Packing a whole host of events, including workshops, guest lectures, expos and competitions, it did not fail to excite the participants.

Unconference session

Young and budding talent, not only from SRM but also from the rest of the country, arrived to showcase their flair at the enormous rostrum.

Keeping in mind women’s importance in society, Aaruush conducted events such as Slingshot 2.0, which emphasised on woman entrepreneurs, failure to success and discussions on the start-up world.

Unconference discussed the confusion between job security and job satisfaction.

The portable planetarium showcased a new world to the students and the 3D printer expo highlighted each part of the printer and its working.

The musical extravaganza by Shirley Setia was the event on the last day.
