A Dubai-bound flight carrying 300 passengers was cancelled here this morning following a technical fault, airport sources said.

The Emirates Airways flight was scheduled to leave at 4.15 am and all the passengers booked on it had checked in but were kept waiting in the boarding lounge for about four hours.

When the agitated passengers took up the issue with the airlines officials around 8 am, they were informed the flight had been cancelled due to a technical fault, the sources said.
