The Election Commission will be undertaking a door-to-door campaign from March 26 in Kancheepuram district to prepare error-free electoral rolls and to include the Aadhar details of voters, if available, in the rolls.

The District Election Officer and Collector V.K. Shanmugam, in a press release, said all the 3,761 booth-level officers covering 11 Assembly segments in the district will be visiting the houses to collect the details.

Corrections

During their visit, voters who wish to make spelling mistake corrections or to include recent photographs in their voter ID can submit form 8.

Those wanting to effect change of address falling within the same Assembly segment can submit form 8A and for effecting deletion of names can submit form 7 to the booth-level officers.

The electorate is further requested to keep ready a photocopy of their voter ID and Aadhar card, if available and present them to the booth-level officers for smooth and effective completion of the exercise.
