December 28, 2013 12:45 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 06:07 pm IST - CHENNAI:

DMK leader M. Karunanidhi on Friday said his party has not started alliance talks with political parties for the Lok Sabha polls.

On whether DMDK led by actor Vijayakant had approached him, he said no one had come with a proposal for an alliance. “We will let you know once the talks begin,” he told reporters here.

Asked whether actor T. Rajendar who had rejoined the DMK would be given an opportunity to contest in the Lok Sabha polls, Mr. Karunanidhi said he could not say anything now.

On the walkout by DMK members in the Chennai Corporation Council over a disputed land in Anna Arivalayam, he said the issue was discussed many times in the past. “If necessary, the Corporation can come and survey the land. We have not appropriated the Corporation land,” he said.
