DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Monday said his party will organise more protests to remove from power what he described as the ‘benami’ AIADMK government.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Stalin said the government had failed to distribute essential commodities to ration card holders.
“Governance has come to a standstill. It is a benami government run by a convict,” Mr. Stalin alleged.
Monday saw over 20,000 DMK workers, along with party leader Kanimozhi and over a dozen MLAs, court arrest for holding protests in front of ration shops across the city. They were released later in the evening.
