DMK gears up for Assembly polls; Top brass to meet

The DMK top brass, led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party president M. Karunanidhi will meet party office bearers of various districts here to mobilise for the Assembly elections in the State in May next year.

“Besides Mr. Karunanidhi, his sons M.K. Stalin (DMK Treasurer), M.K. Alagiri (Organising Secretary, South) and senior leaders, including Arcot N. Veeraswamy and Duraimurugan will meet office-bearers on October 20, 22, 28 and November 1,” General Secretary K. Anbazhagan said in a statement here.

He said office-bearers from Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore and South Chennai will meet the leaders on these dates and the rest will meet them later.
