Election campaign of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhgagam leader Premalatha was disrupted for some time at Kokhilapuram near Uthamapalayam here on Saturday as both the DMK and DMDK cadres clashed with each other. The police resorted to lathi charge to disperse agitators and brought the situation under control. Later, she was allowed to continue her campaign from this village.

Both Ms. Premalatha and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi were campaigning at five or six villages between Cumbum and Uthamapalayam in half an hour difference.
