“DMK alone has courage to seek fresh mandate”

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam alone has the courage to seek a fresh mandate from the people in the forthcoming Assembly elections to continue to rule Tamil Nadu on the strength of its achievements and good governance, according to the DMK president and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

Addressing an election meeting of the DMK-led alliance, Mr. Karunanidhi said: “If you vote for the AIADMK front, it means that you are rejecting all the good schemes implemented by the DMK government.”

Mr. Karunanidhi alleged that “some people” were working hard to prevent the victory of the DMK front for fear that if the front retained power in the coming elections others could never aspire to come to power. Thol Thirumavalavan spoke.
