Diabetologist elected to FRCP

City-based diabetologist V. Balaji has been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.

He is among the youngest such nominees for the FRCP. Dr. Balaji, who graduated in medicine from Kilpauk Medical College and completed his post-graduation in General Medicine from Manipal, also underwent a fellowship in diabetology at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He has also completed advance training in complications of diabetes at the Steno Diabetes Centre, Denmark, and is already a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow.
