Director-General of Police K. Ramanujam on Sunday visited the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project site on Sunday and reviewed the security arrangements made for the upcoming plant.

He also met KKNPP Site Director R.S. Sundar.

Of late, the police have been strengthening the arrangements in view of the ongoing agitation.

Before leaving for Tirunelveli, Mr. Ramanujam handed over a cheque for Rs. 10.60 lakh to the parents of slain Sub-Inspector of Police Alvin Sudhan, who was murdered by an armed gang at Thiruppachethi in Sivaganga district during the “guru puja” of Marudhu brothers last month.
