Detained under Goondas Act

Two criminals have been detained under Goondas Act.

An official statement said S. Bhaskar (22) of MGR Nagar under Pettai police station limits was arrested recently as he was involved in several criminal activities, including robbery and chain-snatching.

P. Sudalaimuthu alias Jeyamuthu (26) of Chathiramputhukulam under Thatchanallur police station limits was arrested recently as he was involved in cases pertaining to attempt to murder, damaging public property and threatening the public.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirunelveli Range and Commissioner of Police (in charge), Tirunelveli City, S. Murugan ordered their detention under provisions of Goondas Act on Tuesday.
