A distant cautionary signal No.1 has been hoisted at the Port office complex here signalling depression along the North of Bay of Bengal.

Speaking to The Hindu, A.J.Maniksha, Port Officer stated that the depression was centred near 20 degree North Latitude and 90.5 degree East Longitude at about 5.30 IST.

The depression was around 350 kilometers East-South-East of Digha in West Bengal and the system was likely to intensify and move towards North-Eastwards and cross Bangladesh coast between Chittagong and Cox Bazaar by Wednesday night or Thursday.
