Defamation case against MP

A defamation case was filed against Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP T.M. Selvaganapathy at the District and Sessions Court here on Monday on charges of making defamatory remarks against Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at a public meeting here on July 10.

Public Prosecutor P. Dhanasekar said in his petition before the court that the defamatory remarks were made at a meeting held recently at Pethanaickenpalayam.

Judge T. Mohan Dass admitted the petition.
