Cultural programme for child protection

A cultural programme for creating awareness among masses on child protection and prevention of violence against them was organised under the auspices of the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan here on Monday. In a press release issued here, S. Ganesh, District Collector, said that the cultural troupe would visit various parts of the district till January 30 for creating awareness at 80 centres.

NAGAPATTINAM: S.Palanisamy, District Collector, inaugurated cultural awareness programme on ‘child rights and compulsory education’ organised under SSA at Manicka Chettiar Municipal HSS here on Monday. The cultural troupe would camp in 80 centres in 11 blocks in the district, said M. Murugan, Chief Educational Officer, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.
