March 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - Tirupur:

Attacking freedom of expression through violent means is an act of cowardice by feeble minded people, said S. Tamizhselvan, State president, Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association here on Friday.

He was reacting to the incidents occurred in the recent times in the State where the freedom of expression of writers were questioned by some people using violence.

The government should ensure that writers were able to express freely without the fear of being attacked.

S. Venkatesan, secretary of the association, said that the State conference of the association would be held in Tirupur from March 19 to 22.
